Why A Blog About Caboodles?

I loved Caboodles so much growing up. I got my first one in 1991 when I was eight years old. My mom and I bought it at a Roses store as an early Christmas present. It was a model similar to this one, but with the "old style" latch on it:



I loved that thing to pieces even if I didn't have any makeup to put in it. I believe I used it to put my Barbie stuff in.

As the years grew I acquired several more. Unfortunately the majority of them went to the thrift store through the years. The last ones I bought were in 1996 during the "jellies" line.

Here are the Caboodles I still own:

The 2752 (in the "Jellies" theme):



This is the only one that came with us from the last move. The latch is broken on it and fixed with yellow duck tape. I think I bought this one at Hills or Target in 1996.

The 2614:



I just acquired this one. I got it at the thrift store on clearance for 97¢. I had a larger version of this one in teal and purple I think that I also got at the thrift store in 1995.

This is my 2nd newest find. I got it on eBay for about $24. This must be an early model due to the two mirrors:



I also have a new model 2622 that I use for crafts. I don't have a photo of that one yet.
